At the 1998 Academy Awards, along with Gloria Stuart, Celine Dion also donned a “Heart of the Ocean” necklace. Well, there were three versions of the necklace, from which the singer wore the one with the 171-carat Ceylon sapphire worth $1.4 million back then. Were there any insurance policies that covered jewelry? Here’s a fun fact: the necklace was originally made to support the Princess Diana Memorial Fund.

Her three-stacked diamond bracelet, 4-carat diamond earrings, and 10-carat emerald-cut diamond ring completed her classy outfit.

She paired the neckpiece with a gorgeous Valentino red gown for her first look for the event. It weighed 94 carats and cost a hefty $10 million! It was a good call to invest in a pair of tiny diamond earrings. After all, it made for an excellent statement. There’s no denying that Anne always looks ravishing when she hits the red carpet, and this look is a true example of that.

Beyonce Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

When Queen Bey arrives, she leaves all heads turning. There’s no one who can argue with that. So, it only fits that she made it to this list. Beyonce wore statement jewels by Lorraine Schwartz worth $13.1 million to the 2016 MTV VMAs, while her daughter wore a tiara by the same jewelry designer. Can you imagine her daughter having to ever worry about a student loan with jewels like that? Coming back to Beyonce, she enhanced her dramatic gown with Lorraine Schwartz Colombian emerald dangling earrings worth $1.8 million. Additionally, she wore four rings, out of which one of them costs $9 million alone.

The highlight of the 2013 Grammys was the “Blown Away” singer Carrie Underwood sporting a Jonathan Arndt necklace. The 381-carat necklace must’ve been covered by insurance, as it was worth a whopping $31 million! However, this was not the only time the singer stole the show. In 2016, the singer stood out yet again with her diamonds. The American country singer wore another Johnathon Arndt necklace, which featured a 13-carat yellow diamond, also known as the Firefly diamond. It should come as no surprise to see Lady Gaga on this list. Gaga has worn some spectacular pieces in the past. But what stands out for us the most is the Tiffany & Co. yellow diamond necklace she wore to the 2019 Academy Awards. It was a 128.54-carat yellow diamond necklace paired with dangling diamond earrings. If you want to know how much it costs, we suggest you hold onto your seats. Are you ready? Give us that kind of money, and we’d easily be able to pay for our student loan or invest in property!

Julianne Moore Jim Smeal/BEI/Shutterstock

The actress was the second person to ever have her hands over an asset as spectacular as this emerald necklace after the late Elizabeth Taylor. She wore this $6.1 million piece to the Bulgari celebration of Elizabeth Taylor’s collection hosted at the Beverly Hills boutique in 2013. The star bought the exquisite jewelry at the Christie’s auction held in 2012.

Madonna Joyce Silverstein/Shutterstock

It’s not surprising to see Madonna go all out, especially at a red carpet affair. And the 1991 Oscars were no different. We saw Madonna styled like Marilyn Monroe in a white Bob Mackie gown accompanied by some dazzling Harry Winston accessories. Knowing Madonna, it wouldn’t just stop at a diamond necklace and dangling earrings. No, no! She also wore diamond cuffs. That night Madonna wore jewels worth $20 million and performed on “Sooner or Later.” Fun fact: Madonna tossed her earring to the audience during the performance. Thankfully, she was wearing fake jewels, and the Harry Winston team was later informed about it. Naturally, nobody would take up the liability of jewels that cost a fortune!

Salma Hayek Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock
Salma Hayek

The star chose a dazzling gown by Gucci for the 2018 Academy Awards, and we aren’t surprised given her investments in luxurious properties and assets. The tiered, lavender sequined gown featured crystals that elegantly graced Salma’s shoulders. But the gown alone didn’t hit the notes high enough for the star. She chose to go all out with her dangling Harry Winston diamond earrings, which are valued at $4.2 million

Elizabeth Taylor Keystone/Zuma/Shutterstock

The actress wore a 68-carat rock to the 1970 academy awards, which cost Richard Burton a hefty $1.1 million. Imagine their financial backing back in the day! The diamond, Burton Taylor, was named after the couple and was displayed in an exhibit by Cartier for the public to witness. Sadly, Taylor sold the rock for approximately $3.5 million after their divorce.

The Bombshell star strutted the 2014 Oscars with a Harry Winston emerald-cut diamond neckpiece that she paired with Christian Dior couture. The dramatic black Dior gown donned a beautiful plunge neck, making it perfect for Theron to flaunt her million-dollar necklace. She rounded off the look with diamond studs, and honestly, it needed just that. The total cost of her jewelry rounded up to $15.8 million. It comes as no surprise that Theron always looks ravishing at every event, but this Dior gown, paired with Harry Winston jewels, is a look we cannot get over. If only we could afford the jewelry loan-free!

Halle Berry Jim Smeal/BEI/Shutterstock
Halle Berry

The Monster’s Ball star accepted an Oscar for her performance in said movie in 2002. She already looked like a winner in her Elie Saab gown that was accessorized with Harry Winston jewelry. The ring on her pinky finger has a 5.54-carat orange diamond purchased by Harry Winston himself for over $1.3 million. We’re guessing more than that was invested by Halle Berry for the ring.

Angelina Jolie Shutterstock

We loved the all-emerald gems against Jolie’s Elie Saab black gown at the 2009 Academy Awards. It kicked off a trend! The Lorraine Schwartz ear drops were likely valued at $2.5 million, and the emerald rock on her finger was worth $1 million, rounding off with a total of $3.5 million worth of jewels. This doesn’t take us by surprise at all, given her financial investments.

Cate Blanchett Stewart Cook/Shutterstock
Cate Blanchett

The Australian actor is known for her dynamic roles and unique sense of style. We’re not lying when we say that we always swoon at her red carpet looks. This one, in particular, has been in talks for a long time. At the 2014 Oscars, Blanchett won the Best Actress award for Blue Jasmine, and she graced the stage with her precious Chopard jewels and Armani Prive gown. Her Chopard jewelry included opal earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a ring that rounded up to $18 million. Her Armani Prive champagne gold gown was worth $100,000! To this day, no one has forgotten her bedazzling look or her acceptance speech. We say it was an investment worth the win!

Helen Mirren David Fisher/Shutterstock
Helen Mirren

They say age is just a number, and that especially true in the case of Helen Mirren. At the 2018 Academy Awards, Mireen gracefully pulled off a Reem Acra blue gown with Harry Winston jewelry. Her blue sapphire necklace and earrings were worth $3.8 million. It’s a dream for us to be able to splurge our personal finances on jewelry like this.
