In World’s Finest comic, Batman, Robin, and Superman go on an expedition and end up in an alternate universe where Batman believes that Superman killed his parents and is filled with vengeance. When Robin tries to stop Batman, he is slapped by Batman in anger.
Mr Fry from Futurama and his ‘not sure if..’ memes
Futurama was a show created by the same guy who created The Simpsons. The particular ‘not sure if’ meme photo was taken from the season 2 episode 6 when Mr. Fry in the show is looking for Leela’s, another character, underwear drawer for 15 minutes.
The famous ‘you shall not pass’ catchphrase meme was taken from a scene in Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, where Gandalf stops a demon from pursuing the people on a mission to destroy the ring.
Photographers of Nature’s Pics Online uploaded the original picture of a seal titled ‘Northern Elephant Seal (Weaner)’ in 2010. In 2014, the same picture was submitted to Reddit and its user submitted a captioned photo of the seal and the memes began.

The meme features Gene Wilder, who played Mr. Wonka in 1971 musical Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Although famous as a condescending meme, the expression was of an excited Wonka who is eager to show the kids his secret machine in the factory.
Mr. Fry from Futurama and his ‘shut up and take my money’
This meme was taken from The Simpsons when Mr. Fry is out in a store buying an EyePhone with many tempting features and the salesperson keeps talking about phone and Mr. Fry asks him to ‘shut up’ and ‘take his money’ so he can finally have the device.

The Doge meme of a Shiba Inu breed dog
This meme is popular since 2013. The original photos of the Kabosu (Doge) were uploaded by its owner, Atsuko Sato, on his blog and its picture was then submitted to Reddit in 2013 with a misspelled caption ‘doge’; from there doge memes went viral.
